Walker
administration ignores open records requests
July
8 --- County Executive Scott Walker is
taking a Harley trip this summer, but his office
does not want to say how it will be funded.
storyhill.net
has repeatedly sought information from Walker's
office, but thus far has not been given the information
sought. Two open records requests filed by storyhill.net
on May 14 and June 9 have been ignored. storyhill.net
filed another request Thursday.

Walker
announced
in May that he would tour Wisconsin and nearby states
as part of his "Grow Milwaukee County Plan."
Since Walker is widely believed to be interested
in a run for governor, however, the trip could have
political purposes as well.
The
Walker administration has previously played fast
and loose with the open records law, according to
Thursday's Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Walker admitted
that his administration provided an incomplete response
to an open records request filed by challenger David
Riemer before the spring election.
The
records released by Walker disguised the fact that
he did not seek pension waivers from his appointees
until after Riemer asked for an copies of the waivers
in February.
