Alleged

into a Sunnyside Dr. home, where he grabbed the telephone
from the owner as she tried to call police.
A second count of criminal trespass to dwelling was
issued against Rundquist in May. The disposition of
that case could not be determined Friday.

Shame
on Shane (again)
May
23, 2005 -- Shane M. Rundquist, the idiot
who allegedly attacked a couple on Story Parkway before
breaking into a Story Hill house last month, has been
sentenced in Dodge County to 200 days in jail for
his fourth offense of drunk driving.
Rundquist,
30, will serve his Dodge County sentence after he
finishes the 30-day jail term he picked up in Jefferson
County earlier this month for his third drunk driving
offense.
Dodge County
Circuit Judge John R. Storck also ordered Rundquist
to undergo an alcohol and other drug abuse evaluation
and fined him $3,557. Storck revoked Rundquist's driver's
license for three years and ordered him to appear
before a victim impact panel.
Rundquist
faces six misdemeanor charges in connection with his
Story Hill adventure. He is accused of knocking down
an 80-year-old neighborhood resident before breaking
into a Sunnyside Dr. home and grabbing the telephone
from the owner as she tried to call police. Rundquist
was charged in April with two counts of disorderly
conduct, one count of battery, criminal trespass to
a dwelling, and criminal damage to property. A second
count of criminal trespass to dwelling was issued
against Rundquist earlier this month.

Not
having a license has not prevented Rundquist from
driving in the past. He also faces a charge, stemming
from the same Jan. 12 arrest, of driving without a
valid license, his second such offense in three years,
records show.
Rundquist, 30, will have work-release privileges during
his jail sentence.

Man
charged in Opening Day assaults
in
Story Hill
April
27, 2005-- A
man who allegedly knocked down an 80-year-old neighborhood
resident before breaking into a Sunnyside Dr. home
and grabbing the telephone from the owner as she tried
to call police has been charged with five misdemeanors,
court records show.
Shane
Michael Rundquist, 30, of Watertown, was charged with
two counts of disorderly conduct, one count of battery,
criminal trespass to a dwelling, and criminal damage
to property.
The
incident occurred April 11, which was Opening Day
at Miller Park. Story Hill is just a few blocks from
the stadium. It is unclear whether Rundquist was in
the neighborhood because of the game.
A
witness said Rundquist, who is facing drunken driving
charges stemming from two unrelated and separate incidents,
was drunk.
According
the criminal complaint: The 80-year-old man and his
wife were walking their dogs in the 300 block of N.
Story Parkway when Rundquist suddenly appeared and
stood in front of the woman.
Rundquist
"snatched the leash for one of her dogs from
her hand," the complaints said. "The defendant
then began to swing the dog around and let go of the
leash causing the dog to tumble to the ground."
Rundquist
allegedly grabbed the leash for the other dog with
both hands "and expanded the leash in front of
(the woman's) throat," the complaint said.
The
woman, the complaint said, believed Rundquist "was
going to put the leash around her neck to choke her."
The
woman said in an interview that Rundquist "was
out to do harm"
The
woman pushed Rundquist to get away from him, the complaint
said.
The
woman's husband, afraid that Rundquist would hurt
her, went to grab Rundquist, the complaint said. Rundquist
allegedly knocked him down and took off.
He
wound up pounding on the windows of a Sunnyside Dr.
residence, the complaint said. The woman who lives
in the home checked on the noise and saw Rundquist
fall in the back yard, according to the complaint.
She opened the back door, but closed it again when
Rundquist started walking toward her.
"He
demanded to be let into the house and pounded on the
back door," the complaint said. The homeowner
ran to the front of the house to call police.
"She
heard the side door on the east side of the house
being forced open," the complaint said.
Rundquist
came into the house and knocked the phone from her
hand, the complaint said.
"She
ran outside the front door," the complaint said.
A
man passing by heard the woman scream and saw her
leave her house with Rundquist after her, the complaint
said. The man, believing Rundquist was going to beat
the woman, went to her aid.
The
man told police Rundquist was drunk. Rundquist charged
the man "and a brief struggle occurred between
them," the complaint said. The passerby threw
Rundquist to the ground. Rundquist got up and started
to walk away, but the passerby was able to point him
out to police officers passing by.
Rundquist
was in a load of trouble even before he was arrested
in Story Hill. He is facing drunken driving charges
in Dodge and Jefferson counties stemming from arrests
Jan. 12 and Jan. 28. Each charge is listed in the
Wisconsin Circuit Court Access program as Rundqist's
third drunk driving offense.
He
is also was charged in the Jan. 12 incident with his
second offense in three years of driving without a
valid license, records show.
He
already has a criminal record -- Rundquist was convicted
of misdeanor theft in 2001, disorderly conduct in
1997 and 1999, and misdemeanor battery in 1996, according
to CCAP.
